At Exquisite, we recognize the ancient art of Henna as a form of individual expression and celebration. It is believed that Henna brings blessings, luck and joy. Our beautiful designs have been used to celebrate weddings, special occasions, holidays or simply for individual adornment. Our clients are diverse and range in age from young girls to teenagers to young adults to male and female professionals. Henna is also a great alternative to permanent tattoos and is often used initially to determine if a permanent tattoo is desired.
Our expert staff uses only natural brown dyes sourced directly from Pakistan. These dyes are made from the Henna tree and do not contain chemicals that can harm the skin. At Exquisite Threading, we do not use black dyes due to the chemicals they contain. Our mission is to always provide customers with natural products that are good for the skin as well as for the environment. Recently the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned consumers against the use of black dyes, which have been known to cause potential scarring, blistering, redness, and loss of pigmentation. According to the FDA, brown dyes do not fall into this category since the dye is natural.

In Indian and Middle Eastern weddings, it is considered traditional to have a Henna party as a means of celebration. Often, the brides attendants are included to keep the bride company since designs are often intricate and take quite a bit of time.
Henna has been used for centuries involving arranged marriages. Often, a groom’s initials are hidden within the design to serve as an icebreaker for newlyweds and a way to create intimacy. It is said that the groom will try to locate his initials and if he is unable to find them, he has to give his new bride a gift. Traditionally, Henna designs were applied to the hands and feet only.
